Little Chicks Punch Art

For today I have my little spring chicks. These two make a perfect Easter Card.
I chose very vibrant colours for this card, but you can easily use a more pastel yellow and paler orange if you like more muted tones.

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Ink: Colorbox
Die: Oval Framelits - SU
Stamp: Teeny Tiny Wishes - SU
Misc: foam squares, 5/8" orange grossgrain ribbon, little green ribbon bows

Full instructions for the chicks below (these are a slight variation of my crows)

Turtle Punch Art

These adorable little turtles are not only great for friendship cards but would be perfect for a Father's Day or Mother's Day card as well.
And I have to be honest, although turtles have been on my list of punch art to make for quite some time, and these were partially completed sitting on my work desk the basic face structure of this particular design was inspired by Melissa's little treat packages. Take a peek at her lovely work for more great inspiration.

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Ink Colorbox
Die: Circle Framelits - SU
Stamp: Many Happy Returns - SU
Misc.: 5/8" green satin ribbon, foam squares, white gel pen

Full punch art instructions below.

Up next I'll be moving on to the first of my Easter designs for this year (sure hope I have time to make all the little critters that are floating around in my head).

Upcoming projects

It's been a busy few weeks with two Birthdays, over time at work, parent-teacher meetings at two schools....and althoug I managed to squeeze in some time for my punchart I have not had a chance to write the instruction sheets.

I am not sure how much time I will have this week either as it's my husbands birthday on Thursday  and Saturday we are going away (just the two of us) for four days to celebrate our 25th anniversay.

I will try to do the instructions for four projects that are completed (verses the 4 or 5 that are started but not quite done yet).
Here's a little preview of what's coming up.

Hope you find these worth the wait. Check back soon for the first set of instructions.

Hang in there

Today's punch art creation can be used for many different themes. I used this happy little monkey for encouragement, but a party invite or child's birthday card would also work really well. As would a Playtime or Zoo scrapbook page.

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Ink: Colorbox
Stamps: PC Generated (Font: Stamp Act)
Dies: Jungle Leaves (sizzix), Branch tree by Tim Holtz - Sizzix
Misc.: white gel pen, foam squares

You are out of this World

It always surprises me what creations I come up with when I have nothing specific planned and just start playing with my punches. Todays card is one of those creations.
I have been experimenting with different eye shapes and sizes to try and figure out what expression I like best for my punch art characters. While trying to make a sweet little turtle I ended up with what to me looked more like the head of an alien. And a few minuets later this out of this world fellow was born.

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Ink: Night of Navy - SU, Colorbox
Background stamp: Wonderfully Worn - SU
Greeting - PC generated
Punches: Word Window - SU, for the planet, small and large oval - SU, 1 1/4" circle - PB
Misc.: rhinestones, foam squares, white gel pen

Full punch art instructions for my little alien are below.

Teddy Bear Punch Art

It's funny how recently almost all the babies in my family and circle of friends have been boys.
It has come to the point that I am a little sick of blue. So this little "Welcome" card does not use traditional baby colours. The teddy of course is not limited to a baby card either.

And here is a different view to show how I layered the arms with small foam squares and the head with slightly thicker foam.

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Ink: Colorbox
Stamp:   So Many Sayings - SU
Punches: Word window - SU, Modern Label - SU
Die: Accut Cut square frame, Lacey oval - Spellbinder
Misc.; dark red ribbon, foam squares, 1/4" red rhinestones, white gel pen

I sponged the center of the oval die before embossing/removing the die.

Full punch art instructions for the teddy bear are below.
